Delete Account
You can delete your Lorela account (the Lorela app from Lorela.cz) at any time. There are two ways: the first closes it right away, the second also erases what remains in our records.
1. In the app or on the web
Sign in at lorela.ai and open the Delete account section - you will find it in Help and in Settings, all the way at the bottom. Just type the confirmation word DELETE. In the mobile app for iPhone and Android, open Settings, choose Account and tap Delete account. Either way, the account is closed right after you confirm, and synced contacts are gone for good. Call forwarding set up on your phone does not disappear with the account - turn it off with the code (*73 on Verizon, ##002# on T-Mobile and AT&T), otherwise the calls you do not answer will keep going to the Lorela number, but with no active account nobody will pass them on to you. If the account has an email address and calls keep arriving, we will remind you about the code by email, at most three times. A subscription bought in the App Store does not end when the account is deleted - Apple does not let us cancel it, so cancel it yourself in your phone's Settings: tap your name at the top and choose Subscriptions. For a subscription in Google Play, we cancel the renewal for you when the account is deleted and the period you paid for runs out; if that does not work, cancel it yourself in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions. Within 24 hours of closing, the account can be restored by signing in with the same phone number or email, just without the contacts - after that deadline you can no longer sign in to the original account. The exception is the personal link in the message (email) you get after the account is closed: it restores the account while the link is valid (400 days from when the message was sent); it works for an account that paid by card on the web and whose card stayed on file, and contacts do not come back. Our records keep a note that the account existed and the call history - see below. If you want that deleted too, use the email route.
2. By email
Write to us at hello@lorela.ai from the email address the account is registered to. This route also deletes the remaining account record and the call history. The audio recordings are held by our voice processor - we request their deletion ourselves, and it is handled manually. All that stays permanently is a note that we should not contact your number again. We will handle the request within 30 days.
What is deleted right away
- access to the account - the sign-in details stop working,
- receiving calls forwarded to the Lorela number (call forwarding set up on your phone does not disappear with the account - you turn it off yourself with the code *73 on Verizon, ##002# on T-Mobile and AT&T),
- synced contacts,
- notifications to your phone.
What stays
We keep a record that the account existed: name, contact details, when it was created, what plan it had and when it ended. We also keep the call history, including transcripts and summaries - we delete it a year after the call, the same as for active accounts. We keep this for customer records, accounting and to show what the service handled for the account; if you want this deleted too, write to us at the address above. The Lorela number is shared by all accounts, so after the account is deleted we do not hand it to anyone and we do not call your number to check the forwarding; the code turns it off (*73 on Verizon, ##002# on T-Mobile and AT&T).
We keep tax documents for a paid subscription for as long as the law requires; they contain no call content or contacts. You will find the details in our privacy policy.
